Fluidized bed dryers are used to treat seeds with pesticides, fungicides, or other treatments meant to protect the seed from pests or disease. The seeds are mixed in a slurry then sent through a fluidized bed dryer to remove the moisture and prepare the seeds for packaging. The fluidized bed dryer must have airflow control into the unit to optimize airflow and improve process drying efficiency.
