- Dirty and Particulate-Laden Airflow is no problem. A common challenge with differential pressure type flow measurements (like pitot averaging arrays or multi-point arrays) in dirty or particulate-laden process conditions is the plugging/clogging of the sensing ports. The AUTO-purge III automatically purges the sensing ports at user-selected intervals to clean the flow measurement devices which improves the overall reliability of the system and drives down maintenance cost.
- Automatic purging at regular field-selectable intervals. AUTO-purge III utilizes short duration, high pressure (up to 125 psig) air to maintain signal lines and the sensing ports of the total and static pressure manifolds in a clean, unobstructed condition. The automated purge cycle can be programmed at user-selected intervals to achieve the best results for the process conditions.
- Purge cycle protection of flow measurement. The last transmitted process outputs are maintained for the purge cycle for consistent flow data collection and smooth flow control.
- Transmitter isolation from purge function. Solenoid piloted spool valves isolate the transmitter while the high-pressure purge air forcefully flushes out all particulate matter on the measurement station or probe array.
